The 2x4 Plate is designed to extend the life of wood 2x4's by stopping low hitting bullets. The plate is constructed of 5/16” Armor Plate, cut out of MIL-DTL-12560J Class 1 steel. This steel has a hardness range of 363-400BHN.
The 2x4 plate is designed to stop handgun calibers up to 40S&W and 45ACP as well as rimfire handguns and rifles(no 17WSM).
The measurments of the plate are 3.5”x12”
Ships with mounting hardware, 1/2” carriage bolts, washers and nuts.
Item ships unpainted and may have light rust or mill scale from long term storage and heat treatment. This will not affect the performance of the steel.
A 1/2”+ drill bit is required
